Bangkok 2

Go to content

Bangkok is a contrast of experiences. Whether you are there only for a few days or 2 weeks, there is plenty to do and see. From splendid temples, grand palaces, exotic food to busy markets, and an entertaining and lively nightlife, Bangkok has something for every visitor.

Spend your days walking through one of the many temples or make a visit to the grand palace, then take a rest in one of the many restaurants before visiting one of the many night markets followed by drinks in bar listening to a local band or dancing the night away.

The Bangkok weekend market is a must visit and can easily keep you entertained for an afternoon as you work your way through the hundreds of stalls. This is a great chance to interact with the locals. Or a visit to the floating market, a unique experience, you just have to make sure to take a camera along.

For the kids, a visit to the Siam Ocean World or the Bangkok zoo will keep them entertained for hours. To view or purchase tickets available from Expedia before departure click here.

And when you are out sightseeing there is no need to worry about finding somewhere to eat. Street food stalls can be found everywhere and if you want to sit and eat, Bangkok has a vast selection of restaurants to choose from.

Accommodation ranges from the back-packers heaven in Khea San Road with its street bars and stalls to the glorious views of the Baiyoke Sky Hotel (the tallest building in Thailand) with its excellent views of Bangkok with the restaurant on the 86th floor, to 5 star hotels where you can experience the ultimate in luxury, Thai style.

I hope you enjoy Bangkok as much as I have done and leave loving the city and its people…
